Chelan County

Chelan County works with partners in the Collaborative to advance the pace and scale of forest health restoration and improve the local economy. We believe we can do more together than we can individually.

Chelan-Douglas Land Trust

Chelan-Douglas Land Trust is honored to participate in the NCWFHC’s collaborative work to expand the scope and pace of forest restoration work in North Central Washington. By working together, NCWFHC’s members resolve questions around a particular project in advance so that implementation can proceed with support from agencies, conservation groups and forestry companies.

We also have a need for wood fiber for our local sawmills and a desire to work together to ensure the health and vitality of rural communities.

Practicing cooperative conservation Since 1940, The Okanogan Conservation District is a non-regulatory agency and has the mission to help cooperating land managers achieve their conservation goals. The district’s Forest and Wildfire Program works to improve fire resiliency, recovery and forest health across Okanogan County.

Okanogan County

Okanogan County is proud to be a natural destination. We work collaboratively to ensure the health and safety of our forests as well as the residents and visitors within them.

The Nature Conservancy

We are addressing the twin crises of climate change and loss of biodiversity by advancing positive and equitable change through care and stewardship of Washington’s land and water—through legislative and regulatory policy; advocating for equitable access to public funding; and by bringing together powerful and diverse partners, communities and decision-makers.

Trout Unlimited

TU is involved in the Collaborative because coldwater fish in North Central WA need healthy forest lands to survive and thrive, especially in the face of climate change. We see collaboration as an essential tool to bring the needed capacity to the Forest Service to achieve restoration and management objectives for aquatic landscapes.

Vaagen Bros. has long been committed to collaborating with stakeholders interested in improving forest management. We believe these sustained efforts are critical to furthering the goals of forest health, ecosystem resilience, and wildfire mitigation on our National Forests.
