Upper Wenatchee Pilot Project

Healthy Forests

The Okanogan-Wenatchee National
Forest is embarking on a new approach to restoring
landscapes for present and future generations. Social, economic
and environmental benefits flow from healthy forests.

The Solution

The primary focus of the project is to restore forest health and resiliency by reestablishing forest structure, returning fire to the landscape, improving wildlife habitat, and improving watershed function.
